Dr. Tom Dresen, DDS, FACP

Dr. Tom Dresen was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, as the middle of three children. He attended St. Thomas Academy before graduating with honors from St. Olaf College in 1989, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then completed dental school at the University of Minnesota, graduating with honors in 1993.

After dental school, Dr. Dresen served three years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps — two years in Brunswick, Maine, and one year in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Following his service, he pursued advanced training in prosthodontics at the Milwaukee Veterans Medical Center, completing his residency in 1999.

Since then, Dr. Dresen has been proud to serve the Washington county community. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the MDA, MARD, ADA® and the True North Study Club. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, for 19 years straight, he volunteered annually in Lima, Peru, providing dental care for children with cleft palate and their families.

Outside the office, Dr. Dresen enjoys sailing, traveling, and spending time with his wife, dog Ginger and two grown sons.
